Installed the decoder in 2015 Ford Ranger (NZ) with 8 inch SYNC 2 screen. Able to switch between SYNC 2 and CARPLAY IOS using the ‘OK’ button (3-5 seconds) on the steering column.
Initally Carplay was activated and working – I had google maps, spotify, and messages…etc from my phone, and then everything stopped.
I am happy that I have performed the APM modifications accurately – since I can still access CARPLAY and switch between the two systems.
Reverse camera working in both systems – set the toggle switch on No. 1 on decoder. So that is good. I have also set toggle switches 4, 7 and 8 to ON as per the instructions.
I have removed all phone devices from the original SYNC 2 infotainment system
I have removed all devices from bluetooth – SYNC and CAR-ee19 on my phone
I have tried to re-connect – but although both devices are recognized, I cannot pair successfully.
So I cannot use CARPLAY
Suggestions.??
I would appreciate some help.??

I have a problem with my carplay. When i change the temperature or the fan power, the screen switches from carplay to sync2 and then returns to carplay after a moment. I also have a problem when i use the navigation and want to start spotify. At that point, the music doesn’t play through the speakers. When i switch to sync2 and then go back to carplay, the problem goes away. The seller is not helping.
